Thank You, Hometown Heroes!
There are special people who choose to make a living helping others—military servicepeople, police officers, firefighters, teachers, and medical professionals. These can be difficult and thankless jobs, but they go to work everyday and keep making a difference. Alvarez Construction Company is extending a special “Thank you” to our hometown heroes with a $2,000 buyer credit to use on any home in any of our communities.
Whether you decide to build a single-family home with us or choose one of the move-in ready homes available, we want to show our appreciation. All military personnel past and present, and people who are currently employed as teachers, firefighters, law enforcement officers, government law enforcement authorities, medical doctors, nurses, and EMTs qualify for the $2,000 credit.
Our Hometown Heroes offer can be applied toward closing costs or luxury options—although we provide so many standard features that our homes are already luxurious! These are all included in every home we build:
- Granite countertops
- Jetted tub and walk-in shower in the master bath
- Energy-efficient, stainless steel appliances
- Tankless water heater for a steady supply of hot water
- Whole-home air filtration and purification system
- SmartHome management hub with a wireless security system
- Wi-Fi thermostat with moisture control
- Low-maintenance, durable, and beautiful HardiePlank cement siding
- Oil-rubbed bronze fixtures
“My father, Jairo Alvarez, believed that quality is more than what we build. It’s also who we are and it’s our responsibility to help others. He spent his life serving and giving back,” says Carlos Alvarez, president of Alvarez Construction Company. “Every one of us is committed to carrying on that legacy, and I know he would approve of supporting our hometown heroes.”
Every year, our community outreach initiatives include raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and for adaptive bikes for disabled children. Once again, we built the St. Jude Dream Home in Baton Rouge, which raised $1,000,000 to support St. Jude’s mission of providing free healthcare to pediatric cancer patients. The annual “No Such Thing as Impossible Bike Ride” raised more than $40,000 this year for Wheels To Succeed, a local organization that gives disabled children the chance to pedal with their peers.
The Hometown Heroes discount will allow members of these professions to choose a new construction home in one of the many communities where we build, in Baton Rouge and the surrounding cities and towns. Remember, many of our communities qualify for the zero down payment USDA home loan::

- Deer Trail, Phase 1 and Phase 2, in Madisonville
- Grove at Ascension, in Prairieville
- Ironwood Estates, in Prairieville
- Lexington Park, Baton Rouge
